Private medical care will never be "cheap", however it should be "good value."

You are paying to recieve the best treatment, in a relaxed atmosphere, where there is time to answer all your questions, by the best surgeon of your choice and in a time scale of your choice.

Currently Mr Oakley charges:

£170 for a new consultation

and £100 for a follow up consultation

Injection into joint £50

(there may be some extras to pay the Private Hospital to cover x-rays and drugs etc)

For surgery Mr Oakley follows the advised charge structure of the majority of insurance companies, although for some BUPA and AVIVA customers, whose benefits have recently been reduced, there may be a small (about £50-£150) deficit.

This only applies for certain procedures and consultations are usually covered in full. (Dependant on policy wording).

Please ring to discuss.

Currently there is a large increase in Self Pay patients.

Self pay patients are those people who do not pay into an insurance company, but save the funds and pay as required. We welcome these patients and are always happy to provide acurate and guaranteed costings via the Nuffields Health Pay for Your Self Scheme.

Therefore what ever happens, you sould not be faced with an unexpected bill.
